University of Regina Team Handball Club

On friday october 8th, 2010 the University of Regina Lightning Men's Handball Club travelled across the city to take on the reining Prairie Handball Circuit Champions Sparta HC from Regina, Sk in an exhibition game to do some fine tuning before the regular season starts.  

First half of the match was a tight battle with the score being 12-10 Sparta at halftime.  The U of R Lightning scoring was lead by Aden Sheikdon who had 6 goals from Left Back.  John Bariton "Barry" barried 5 goals for the U of R while Centre Back Steve Schneider netted 3.  The U of R also saw scoring from rookies Curtice Martens, James Minty and Patrice Ngouandi.  

Three different netminders saw action in the exhibiton game against Sparta HC.  Melville, Sk native Lance Stadeski got the start and played the whole first half.  The second half duties were split by Tamunomiekumibim Tolofari and Micheal Kirk.

Final score:

Sparta HC: 25

U of R Lightning: 18

WE WILL MEET AT THE LUTHER COLLEGE DORM PARKING LOT (SOUTH OF LUTHER COLLEGE) AT 7:00PM IF ANYONE NEEDS A RIDE.  WE WILL LEAVE FROM THE U OF R @ 7:30PM AT THE LATEST.
